Michele Corbman currently works in wedding, commercial and fine art photography out of her studio located in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia. She has exhibited in many area juried shows, and has received several awards, as well as Best of Show.
Her personal work is usually black and white photographs, a mixture of both people and quirky still lifes. Many of the images are either manipulated in the darkroom with toning, or hand painted with photo oils and pencils in multiple layers, and sometimes combined with collage. This painted process makes the archival gelatin silver prints a cross between photographic realism and painted illustration.
